Who is individual nutrition coaching for?

My coaching is designed for runners of all levels—whether you're training for your first 5K or your next marathon. Most of my clients are recreational runners who want more energy, better recovery, fewer GI issues, and a solid plan for their next race.

Do I need to be training for a race to work with you?

Not at all! While I work with a lot of marathoners and half-marathoners, many clients come to me simply wanting to feel stronger, have more energy, or fuel their day-to-day or their running more consistently—even if they're not training for a specific event.

What can I expect from 1:1 coaching?

You'll get a personalized fueling plan tailored to your runs, schedule, and goals. We'll troubleshoot issues like fatigue, GI distress, underfueling, or race-day nutrition. You’ll also have support and accountability as you build sustainable habits that actually work with your life.

How are sessions structured?

We’ll meet via telehealth, typically every 1-3 weeks, depending on your needs. If you have questions between our sessions, you’ll get support via email or messaging on our portal. Each session is personalized to YOUR needs, no one-size-fits-all advice here.

What if I’ve already worked with a dietitian before?

That’s great! Many of my clients have, but they appreciate that I specialize in sports nutrition for runners. My approach is grounded in science but totally practical, and we’ll focus on your real-world needs, not restrictive rules.

Will you give me a meal plan?

Instead of rigid meal plans, I help you build flexible fueling strategies that fit your lifestyle. You’ll get meal and snack ideas, portion guidance, and personalized recommendations based on your training.

Do you accept health insurance?

No, but I do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! You can pay upfront or break your package into 3 payments—whatever works better for you.

How do I get started?

Easy! Just fill out my application form or book a free discovery call, and we’ll figure out the best fit for your goals.

In this small group program, we’ll tackle common challenges together so you can avoid mid-run crashes and show up to race day feeling strong and prepared. Whether you’re dealing with low energy, GI issues, or just unsure what to eat and when—we’ll cover it all.

Join a small, supportive group of runners virtually to learn, share, and troubleshoot your fueling strategies. Perfect for half and full marathoners looking for guidance, accountability, and answers to common fueling struggles.

Who is this group program for?

This program is designed for runners training for a marathon, however it will be beneficial if you are training for a half or ultra-marathon as well! This is for you if you want clear guidance on fueling, better energy, improved recovery, and a community of like-minded runners.

What’s included in the group program?

You’ll get:

  • Weekly live or recorded group coaching sessions
  • Practical fueling tips for before, during, and after runs
  • Support for race prep, GI issues, and fueling around busy schedules
  • Access to handouts, fueling templates, and meal ideas
  • A private community for support, questions, and encouragement

How is group coaching different from 1:1 coaching?

In group coaching, you’ll learn foundational fueling strategies that work for most runners, with opportunities to ask questions and get guidance in a supportive group setting. 1:1 coaching is more personalized and in-depth. Group programs are a great way to get expert advice at a lower price point while connecting with other runners.

Will I get individualized advice?

While I’ll answer questions during group calls and in the community, detailed individualized coaching (like reviewing your lab work or meal logging) happens in my 1:1 coaching programs. That said, many runners find that their most common questions get answered within the group format!

What if I miss a live session?

No problem! All sessions are recorded and shared in case you can’t make it live. You’ll also have access to resources and the private community to catch up or ask questions anytime.

How much time should I plan to commit?

Expect 1 hour per week for the live or recorded session, plus any additional time you choose to spend reviewing materials or engaging in the group chat. The goal is to make fueling simpler—not add to your stress.

Can beginners join?

Absolutely! This program is built to support both new runners and experienced athletes. Whether you're training for your first or twentieth marathon, learning how to fuel well will help you feel stronger and recover faster.

How often do you run this program?

I run this program twice a year, once in the winter, and once in the summer. This schedule helps runners who are training for spring or fall marathons.

Small group coaching is perfect for runners who want expert guidance and personal support while learning together. We’ll meet virtually to build strong fueling habits, with space to ask questions and adjust your plan based on each phase of your training.

Want to learn alongside your teammates or running friends? In this private coaching option for 2–4 runners, we’ll meet together in a supportive setting to cover each stage of your training—daily fueling, long-run nutrition, race-week prep, and more.

Who is small group coaching for?

Small group coaching is perfect for 2–4 runners (friends, teammates, training partners) who want to learn about fueling together in a private, supportive setting. Whether you're training for the same race or just want accountability and shared learning, this is a great fit.

How is this different from 1:1 coaching?

With small group coaching, we meet as a group, covering the same personalized, practical fueling strategies you'd get in 1:1 coaching—but with the added benefit of learning from and supporting each other. It’s more interactive and cost-effective than individual coaching, while still giving you direct access to me.

What do sessions look like?

We'll meet via Zoom for interactive sessions. Sessions are tailored based on your group’s goals and training stages. Topics can include:

  • What and when to eat before, during, and after runs
  • Race day nutrition planning
  • Solving GI issues
  • Recovery nutrition
  • Everyday fueling for busy runners

Do we all need to have the same goals?

Not at all! Whether you're training for the same race or working on different goals, I’ll personalize guidance to each runner while covering shared strategies that benefit everyone.

Can we ask individual questions?

Yes! Each session includes time for Q&A and individualized support. You'll learn from each other’s questions too.

What if one of us can’t make a session?

Ideally, all group members attend live to get the most out of each session, but I can record sessions if needed so no one misses out.

  • Fueling before, during, and after runs
  • Hydration strategies
  • Solving GI issues
  • Nutrition for injury prevention and recovery
  • Race day fueling plans
  • Body image and athlete mindset
  • Fueling for female runners (RED-S, amenorrhea, LEA)

Looking to educate your team, club, or community? Book a virtual or in-person session with Meg, a Boston-based sports dietitian and marathoner. faqs

Are sessions virtual or in-person?

I offer both virtual presentations (via Zoom or your preferred platform), as well as in-person sessions for teams in the Boston area (or beyond, with travel fees).

Most sessions run 45–60 minutes, including time for Q&A. I can also customize shorter or longer sessions based on your needs.

How long are the sessions?

Absolutely. I’ll work with you to select a topic that fits your group’s needs. Popular topics include fueling basics, hydration strategies, and race day fueling, but sessions can be tailored to your audience.

Can we choose the topic?

I’ve worked with small local teams of 10–20 runners and large running groups of over 100 participants. No group is too small or too large.

What size groups do you speak to?

Yes! Handouts and fueling guides will be shared.

Do you provide resources after the session?

Virtual session: $250
In-person session (Boston area): contact to book.

Discounts may be available for non-profits or multi-session bookings.

What’s your speaking fee?

I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for peak training seasons or large events.

How far in advance should we book?

Simple! Contact me directly here to share your group details, topic interests, and preferred dates. I’ll respond within 1–2 business days to get you scheduled.

How do we book a session?

  • You’ll fill out a questionnaire about your training and fueling history
  • I’ll create a personalized race day plan outlining exactly what to eat and drink—before, during, and after your race.

Not sure what to eat, drink, or carry on race day? Stop second-guessing your fueling strategy and avoid hitting the wall this time. I’ll create a custom fueling and hydration plan tailored to your race distance, training, and personal needs so you can show up confident, energized, and ready to perform.
